In the last few months since the Chicago Marathon, I have only been jogging and wogging 3 miles 2-3 days per week. From the end of the marathon until Thanksgiving, I did no running. During last years training, I got to where I would eat 6-7 small meals per day. Because of the energy I was expending, I was hungry more often. I took in a few more calories than I usually do, but the running was helping me lose and maintain my weight. Once I quit running (and took part in holiday feasting) I put 3 pounds back on in one month. Thankfully, a few weeks of running made them disappear.
This week I started back with the MM daily plan and I feel great so far. I am looking forward to being able to run more of the marathon this year. Last year I did a 3/1 interval.
I look forward to meeting everyone. I am a 33 year old nurse currently at Baptist in Jackson. My wife, Ashley, is an internal medicine resident at UMC, so she stays busy. I am working part-time and mainly staying at home to take care of our daughter, Kinsey. I am planning to go back to work fulltime in February when I find the right job/schedule that meets our family needs. I am also planning to start working towards a career change in a few weeks. This is something I have been wanting to do for awhile, but never took that step. Just like training for and completing the Chicago Marathon, the hardest part is convincing yourself that this is something I can do.

Hey Rusty,
Good to see you again! I was so impressed to read your story in the paper about your family. We've come a long way since I first met you at Baptist as a student nurse and you were teaching me stuff with the newborns. I wonder how many other nurses are doing this? Anyway, looking forward to running with you. Kelvin (nissannurse)
